Tyus Jones

Tyus Jones (MIN)  “TJ” | “Thus” | “Teen Wolf” nike

(Brad Rempel/USA TODAY Sports)

MIN Point Guard: 6’2, 195 lbs; 3rd year, Duke

 NBA Role: playmaker • UnderDOG

A relaxed floor general from the North, Tyus Jones will be the next small guard to wreak havoc under Tom Thibodeau; during Duke’s run to the top in 2015, TJ was the “straw that stirred the drink” for Coach K & the Blue Devils; Jones is fearless and comfortable initiating sets, threads pinpoint passes after ball screens, very good shooter if there’s an opening  – better midrange scorer than from downtown; wicked fast first step, crafty scoops, confident finisher – reminiscent of a younger Mike Bibby in a lot of ways; not always an immediate opening for PT in Minny, Jones is working on long-range shooting, strength, and defensive sliding – when given minutes, he’s shown the ability to run a team and play under control; first name autocorrects to ‘Thus’

Signature Move: breakdown, soft floater

(*factory setting*) NBA 2K17 Rating: 71
