NYK Forward: 6’9, 200 lbs; 2nd year, Ohio

NBA Role: scrapper UnderDOG

In the mold of a Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (CHA)*, NYK’s Maurice Ndour is best described as an athlete + scrapper; not afraid to mix it up and use all 6 fouls – Ndour works hard on defense and, despite being a bit too aggressive at times, it’s effective; naturally gifted: Ndour is a finisher in transition; high-volume rebounder, relies on timing & leaping ability to snag boards and push the issue; ok shooter, needs to prove he can consistently hit NBA treys; would be wise to study the likes of DeMarre Carroll (TOR) on offense (someone who added a pull-up J, floater off the dribble) & Maurice Harkless (POR) on defense (someone who calmed down on D, cut out the non-stop fouling & locked up)

*don’t overreact: ‘defense guy’/scrapper, obviously not as good

Signature Shot: TBD.
