Kris Humphries

Kris Humphries (ATL)  “Hump” nike

(Dale Zanine/USA TODAY Sports)

ATL Power Forward: 6’9, 235 lbs; 14th year, Minnesota

NBA Role: active power forward

Kris Humphries is a pretty dece power forward whose game is predicated on hustle and jump shooting; good positional rebounder w/ a strong upper body – fights in the trenches, often keeps plays alive by moving his weight around (high-volume boarder in limited action) and coming away w/ misses; becoming adventurous from downtown has made Hump more effective – offers an alternative to banging up front (plus he’s a “might as well” shooter: launches 20-footers with regularity so stepping back a few feet isn’t a big deal); skilled screen setter; still loathed by many fans for no real reason; another invaluable big for Coach Bud in ATL?; not too long from now, we’re gonna look back at Kris’s career and say, “He played 15+ years in the league???” while acknowledging how great of an existence it is as an everyday NBA player
