Kent Bazemore

Kent Bazemore (ATL) “Bazed God” under armour

(Jason Getz/USA TODAY Sports)

ATL Shooting Guard/Small Forward: 6’5, 201 lbs; 6th year, Old Dominion

NBA Role: two-way wing

Thank you, Bazed God!; a long-armed, former Summer League great, Kent Bazemore has taken charge of ATL’s starting small forward spot; rapidly growing on both sides of the ball – can dive to the hole off penetration or post-ups, now shoots the long ball around a 36% clip; has morphed into a resourceful perimeter defender; very confident player: it’s no surprise Bazemore is becoming more and more consistent from downtown, w/ a few off the dribble Js (loves taking transition pull-ups) mixed in perfectly; starting to create offense for others – always in position to finish but making a point to penetrate for easy scoring opportunities; makes a lasting impression defensively – loves harassing wings on the perimeter; will Coach Bud give Baze some ball-handling duties in the near future?; moves well without the rock, can he make the right decision after catching it at an angle?; helps balance out Coach Bud’s Five – Atlanta’s undisputed X-Factor
