NBA Role: creative, scoring point guard • Top DOG

‘Cardiac Kemba’ – a tough-minded, NYC PG with the clutch gene; Kemba’s no stranger to the clock, the pressure…he blocks it all out before unleashing daggers in crunch time; since his days at UConn, Walker’s always had a deadly offensive skill set – strikes quick: normally gets clean looks after creating separation using killer crossovers, able to blow right by for uncontested shots; will detonate if a couple early looks go down – doesn’t take much to light Kemba’s flame, carries Charlotte to victories riding relentless penetration and nasty, space-creating step backs; learning how to get to the FT line more (probing better after screens, draws contact when speeding down the lane) & distribute more effectively; shot selection can be an issue, though more a product of Coach Clifford’s offensive structure, which is tailored to Kemba’s strengths: dribble penetration, transition O; winning mentality, very coachable; Charlotte’s undisputed franchise player – first-time All-Star in 2017 – Kemba’s confidence is infectious
