NBA Role: bucket-getter • CLE Depth Chart: Spot Minutes

Only a select group of UnderDOGs can overwhelm you offensively – and guess what? Cleveland’s Jordan McRae is definitely one of those guys; on the come up as a reserve bucket-getter – whenever you watch McRae with the rock, he’s got one thing in mind: score the ball; has a number of different ways to drop points – slight frame at 180 but can fill it up from downtown, off the dribble and going to the hole (runners, quick Js) – whatever the situation calls for; scored a D-League record 61 points back in January 2016, signaling he’s ready for “The Show”; needs to shore up ball-handling (good feel as a PnR scorer, however), wing defense and passing* but McRae has a nice future in the Association; a spectator during CLE’s title run in 2016, McRae looks to join Coach Lue’s rotation heading into 2017

*’shoring up’ passing basically means McRae needs take the settings off ‘player lock’ every once in a while – McRae gets into those modes where he feels no one can stop him (which is good) but curbing his enthusiasm should be priority until he finds a role
