PORGuard/Forward: 6’7, 220 lbs; 8th year, Ohio State

NBA Role: creative playmaker • UnderDOG

Evan Turner has always had a ton of skill as a pseudo-point forward – now, he’s learning how to put it all together on a nightly basis; a stabilizing offensive threat, Turner NEEDS the ball in his hands to make a lasting impact – strong shot creator, good size, makes tough passes seem easy; in the lane of someone like Nicolas Batum (CHA), E.T. does everything well – good set up man, defender & scorer, often stuffs the stat sheet like a man possessed; will rock you sideways if closely guarded – Turner’s handles are a thing of beauty; ugly ass J but Turner’s worked his way to becoming an OK shooter; offense can stall, prone to overdribbling; important piece for Coach Terry Stotts – Portland’s key UnderDOG (off the bench) – will he embrace the role of anti-hero/villain on this young squad?

Signature Move: behind the back dribble, jumper
