gries Power Forward/Center: 6’10, 240 lbs; 2nd year, Michigan State

NBA Role: (raw) two-way big UnderDOG

Though Michigan State’s Deyonta Davis is much more of a long-term, “we’re putting a huge investment in our dream house” kind of player, his help & recovery game is advanced for a 20-year old, which is a really good sign because almost everything else is a work in progress!; very talented shot-blocking prospect – avg. just under 2 rejections/night while playing just over 18 minutes during his lone season at State; long wingspan (7’1) – able to contest shots from anywhere on the floor; hedges out very well when defending the PnR; can slide his feet while recovering back to the roll man when necessary; needs to learn how to defend without being too jumpy or committing silly fouls; nice offensive upside but right now, Davis mainly scores via rim runs, quick dump-offs & jams; (continued) project or contributor in 2018?

Signature Shot: TBD.
