Jimmy Butler To Represent Bulls At NBA Draft Lottery

Can Jimmy Butler bring the Bulls any lottery luck? (Peter Llewellyn/USA TODAY Sports)

Looks like Jimmy Butler might not be moved this summer after all! According to the Chicago Tribune, Butler is slated to represent the Bulls at the NBA Draft Lottery on May 17th.

Chicago’s All-Star two guard looks to bring a bit of luck to the table, as they hold the worst possible odds (0.5%) at winning the number one overall pick and pretty slim chances to leap into the top 3 (1.8%).

That said, Bulls fans are well aware of their last lottery appearance back in ’08. Despite a 1.7% chance at #1, Chicago won and selected Derrick Rose first overall just a month later.

Now, the probability of a repeat is monumentally slim but the draft lottery is the first step to reconfigure the roster after last season’s disappointing finish.
